FAQS

Why have I received this claim pack?

ProSearch have been appointed by the company in which you hold an investment. The company is concerned that you have not received all of the benefits due to you as a result of your investment in their company.

The reasons that the company has asked ProSearch to contact you is outlined in the claim form that you have received. This can mean that you not cashed a number of dividend payments or that you have been recorded as "gone-away" on their register of members or, as a result of a take-over or merger, you have not received the consideration paid when your shares were acquired under the terms of an offer or merger.

What do I do now?

The claim forms are designed to make the recovery of your entitlement as easy as possible. Simply follow the instructions provided and return the form (along with any necessary documents) to us as early as possible.

The person named on the form is deceased- what do I do?

If you are the executor(s) of the estate of the investor, you should complete the form and return this along with a copy of the Grant of Probate or administration. The form should be signed by all named representatives.

I have changed my name - What do I do?

If you have changed your name, as a result of marriage or deed poll, for example, please complete the form and return it with your marriage certificate or deed poll.

Power of Attorney

If you act as Attorney to the person named, please submit a certified copy of the power of attorney along with the claim form.

Is there a charge for this service?

ProSearch charge an administration fee for tracing you and re-uniting you with the entitlement due to you. The level of fee has been negotiated by the company in which you held the investment to ensure that it is reasonable and fair to you. Details of the fee to be charged are contained on the claim form. In some instances, an additional fee is required where you have lost your certificates so that we can arrange for a replacement. Once again, details of these charges are outlined on the claim form.

Do I have to send you payment now?

NO! – Please do not send any form of payment to ProSearch. Any costs relating to this service are only deducted once you have made a claim and we have processed the claim and recovered the entitlement due to you. Our fee shall be deducted from the entitlement due to you and you will receive the balance after deduction of our fees.

How do I know that this service is genuine?

ProSearch has been successfully re-uniting investors with their entitlements for over 20 years and have an excellent reputation in our field of expertise. We are appointed by the company in which you hold or held shares to offer these services and in many circumstances, a reference to our service is contained on the company’s own website. Our company details are recorded at Companies House and are available to search by any individual.

How long does it take to receive my entitlement?

In most cases, you shall receive your entitlement back within a period of between 4 and 6 weeks. The timescale for each company is given on the claim form. If you are due cash only, this will normally be returned within 4 weeks. If you are due shares then this process will normally take up to six weeks to arrange.
